What does the bus station in Accra look like? It is colorful and there is music. The buses like the circus wagons. It is not like the nice truck that we see in the street. The buses have a wooden body with open walls. they are painted with deferent colors and also decorated with some flowers and words. the words meant to "offer important encouragements, they have to do with good, mankind, guilt, taboos." The Sipritual world in Africa believs in the coxistence of three different related wolds. The firs one is the one that surrounds us, people animals and plants. The second is the world of those who died before us and they continue to exist. The third world is the rich kingdom of the spirits that exist in everything and everywhere. Inaddition, God stands on all these three worlds. So the bus inscriptions mean " God is everywhere."
While I only summarized the topic of African Culture above, I expanded on the concept with some additional research. I found the book" The Mind of Africa" edited by W.E Abraham.Forthermore, the African culture contact with Eruope and Middle East. Also, with some different religions there. It says that there are two kind of people there. One is the faithfull people who believes in God and that they are protected everywhere and the other who does not believe and they parctice their lives as usual. I also found a book"Time in african culture." edited by John .W. In the African culture there is a gap in education between adult genreration and youth. They practice sociopolity and religious institutions and that ensure the communication between generation.
I also expended my research with two websites. According to the first website I used,"The term “African Traditional Religion” is used in two complementary senses. Loosely, it encompasses all African beliefs and practices that are considered religious but neither Christian nor Islamic." The secon website contains on time in African culture. Africans have a totally different perception of time than Westerners. In traditional African culture time is a chain of events.
So, the book that I used to write my research talked about african and how they show their believes in God and God is everywhere. I summarized this and then I expanded my research with two other books. all of the books talked about africa and how is african culture. I continued this with two other websites. the first one mentiones the religions in africa. The secon one contains on african events and how are they different from westerners.
